Baptisia australis

Baptisia australis. This legume is reliable and long lived, forming strong dense clumps in the border. Plant in a sunny spot in the garden and it will form dense green bushes of summer growth to 4ft with a bluish tinge.

The long flowering season starts in early summer and the flowers are the blueist blue. Absolutely gorgeous hardy herbaceous perennial.
